Tell me more. How much beer do you have to buy to get a flag? How big
is the flag? What is the quality of the flag? Is this promotion still
going on? Or are all you Canadians now laughing at me because I have
missed some Canadian inside joke?

Some time ago "Tequila Sheila" Copps, one of our federal ministers of
what-zit-department decided to give away canadian flags (big ones) that could
be flown from car antennas, homes, graveyards, etc. The Canadian government
paid for all of this nonsense.

There was not even a requirement to fly the flags. hence, the comments about
flags in beer cases, flags as bed spreads, flags as curtains. Etc. Taxpayers
took it pretty stiff lipped (after all, they voted this dictatorship in as a
majority government until the next election).

However, they still laugh at Sheila Copps as she tries to maneuver towards a
leadership bid for the Lieberal Party of Canada - the party that figured it
was good to cut back on education and medical services while spending a
BILLION dollars registering grandpappy's duck hunting shotgun in an effort to
reduce gun-related crime...
