Hi all!

I'll be spending new year's eve in NYC, and would like to receive some
suggestion from you on how to spend it.
Apart from times sq. (which i already know), what can you advice me for that
night?

If you have experiences of staying in times sq. surrounding hotels (like W,
Sheraton, etc) that would be OK too!

Thanks in advance
Enrico

There are decent fireworks in Central and Prospect Parks, which you
could see if it's not too cold.

I'm a New Yorker and don't like the Times Square district.

My suggestion for New Year's Eve in New York would be to go
barhopping, but you seem set on waiting in the street for hours just
to watch a little ball drop, so that's your lookout. :-) Either way,
have a good time.

I did Times Square for New Years a few years ago and packed my extended
family into a room at The Muse. Great hotel and it only cost me
~$250...technically they say that only 5 people can go to a room, but
nobody was really counting with all the stuff going on. Just dress
warm as you have to wait outside for the ball to drop as they close off
Times Square early.
