Anyone traveling to Port of NYC on Oct 19th? We are traveling from Albany
probably using Amtrak. Anyone have any other ideas on getting there if we
don't want to drive and leave a car in NYC?
Anyone else going to be on the NCL Dawn Oct 19 - 26?

Amtrak is a great way into the city and especially from Albany you have several
early trains to choose from. But also check out the "rail sale" site on the
reservation page- I've made several trips Utica- NYPenn for $15 each way!!!!
But don't risk a later arriving train- I've been on the Lake Shore Limited
arriving 4 hours late. :)

Train is an excellent choice but take one of the early trains because
sometimes, they get delayed. A redcap can take you and your bags to
the cabstand and it should be a $5-6 ride to the piers.

If the reason you dont want to drive is the fact that you need to leave the

Perhaps the original poster doesn't drive in or to NYC. Some people find NYC
intimidating

Driving to the ship isn't driving in New York. It's what, half a mile off
the highway? You don't even have to make a turn if you are coming from
Albany, just drive down the West Side Highway right into the parking lot.
It's one of the easiest places to get to from Albany.
Now driving cross town at rush hour is a totally different story.
