Hi
My husband and I need to travel to Perth August 28 to Sept 2 (approx) from
Karratha.
Problem - we need to bring our two very well behaved Jack Russell's. I have
run my fingers ragged trying to find Pet friendly accommodation to little
avail, seems everything available is well outside the metro area. I am
hoping that someone reading this may know of somewhere suitable. As I said
they are extremely well house-trained and basically will only be there
during the evenings as we will be out and about all days.

Thanks,
Sue.

Hi Sue

We had the same problem a few years ago in Perth (only 1 JRT then!) We
drove round a number of motels and eventually the Toorak Lodge, Great
Eastern Highway, Rivervale, allowed us to keep him in his cage on the
balcony (of course he went through the room to get in and out). It wasn't
what we'd have liked but everyone else wouldn't have a dog on the premises!
You might like to give them a try. It may be, though, that it is against
regulations but they just said yes as we were on their doorstep (and looking
desperate!) I hope this helps and I hope you find somewhere. Would
overnighting them in kennels be an option?

PS Are they stuffed? "very well behaved Jack Russells" :-D

Thanks Mags

I will keep Toorak Lodge in mind - my older Jack definately will not
tolerate kennels, especially if they are outside. He gets cold when the
temperature gets below 25C here!! ha ha. Not to mention they are more
pampered than some kids!! Probably shouldnt admit to that though.

Neither mind spending the night in our 4x4 as the backseat is all set up for
them with their pillows etc etc.

I knew when I mentioned that they are Jacks that "well behaved" doesnt fit
the JRT description, ha ha. BUT they truely are - just as long as they dont
get the smell of a mouse. (the only time they get active and dig!!!)
