The Port Authority site suggests bus to Newark Penn and train to NY Penn. ($5)

After that, it would seem A -> F. ($2?)

Any thoughts?

Should you use the mailblocks package and expect a response from me,
you should preauthorize the dissensoftware.com domain.

I very rarely bother responding to challenge/response systems,
especially those from irresponsible companies.

If the bus/train together totals $5 that is a good rate... personally, I
take the NJTransit train which goes direct from EWR to NYP (see
http://www.njtransit.com/) for about $14. Regarding subways, the "A"
connects with the "F" if you're going downtown (toward Brooklyn) at West 4th
St., as do the locals "C" and "E" from NYP; all are on 8th Ave., while the
"F" is a 6th Ave. train... but verify that you don't in fact need to go
uptown--toward Queens in the F's case, in which case--depending on your
final destination, it may be best to take the uptown "E" and switch to the
"F" in Queens. Be aware that you can only purchase single ride ($2) subway
fare cards from the vending machines. If you'll be in the city for any
length of time and using subways and buses other options (e.g., a weekly
"all you can ride card") may be a better value.

Geez, that's quite the gouging over the bus plus the train. Guess the $5
for the short ride on the JFK Air Train wasn't a bad deal.

If you're going into Brooklyn on the F train, you can take the A or C
to Jay St-Boro Hall where you stay on the same platform, just the
other track. Changing at W 4 St involves stairs. The A is also
faster to Bklyn.

There are fairly frequent trains leaving from Newark airport to NY
Penn station, but they are rather more expensive.

NJ Transit bus to Newark Penn, then Path to WTC. From there, depending on
your destination, either E to W 4th or walk the block or so to Bway/Nassau
for the A/C train to Brooklyn. Total fare around $6, less if you plan on
using a 1 or 7 day subway pass anyways.

The weak link is the bus, which doesn't run all that often, but I've found
total time to be comparable to the Airtrain/NJ Transit train combo.

The A is decidedly _not_ faster than F to Jay St. from W. 4. The A
stops much more in Manhattan before going to Brooklyn. I have a lot of
experience with this and know what I'm talking about. It's worth going
downstairs to get the F at W. 4th St. if you aren't carrying much. If
you've got bulky or/and heavy bags, stay on the A until you get to Jay
St., but not because it will be faster. It won't.
