St. Lucia

Hello all,

Been a while since I have posted in any Newsgroups. Hopefully this finds
everyone well. I have a question about St. Lucia. My wife and I are
looking to go somewhere different in the Caribbean. We have been to Jamaica
a few times, having hit Ocho Rios once and Negril twice. We have stayed at
The Grand Lido and Couples Negril in Negril and Couples Ocho Rios in, you
guessed it, Ocho Rios. We have heard that St. Lucia is awesome, but wanted
to get any feedback we can from people who might have already been there.
We are looking at hitting the Sandals all inclusive resorts, which is also a
first for us. I have always heard good things about them, but anyone also
have experience with the Sandals organization?

The resorts we are looking at staying at are Sandals Grande St. Lucian:
http://www.sandals.com/main/grande/gl-home.cfm and Sandals St. Lucia
Regency: http://www.sandals.com/main/lucia/lu-home.cfm. We are leaning
towards the Sandals Grande, as neither my wife nor I golf. Both of these
resorts look great, but we are hoping to go somewhere with people more our
age, and where the nightlife is fun. We also want to get off the resort and
see the sights. Anyone know how safe St. Lucia is? The last time we were
in Jamaica things seemed a little shaky. Might have been because we just
went to war with Iraq and most of the people we spoke with were pretty upset
about it. Anyway, we want to get off the resort if possible, so the resort
with the most to offer outside of the premises might also be a winner. I
will leave it here as I have managed to ramble on long enough. I appreciate
any help or feedback anyone can give me.

Thanks

Rob

St. Lucia

Rob,

My wife and I stayed at Sandals in St. Lucia Nov of 2003 and had a
great time. The Staff on the resort is very nice and accomidating.
They have Shuttle busses running between all 3 Resorts on the Island
so no matter where you stay, you can enjoy all 3 resorts. (They do not
make you wear wrist bands so you are not treated diffirently depending
on your sandals resort). As far as the Island, we felt very safe.
Everyone is very friendly

Scott
