Default Favorite books to read on a cruise

I am picking out books to take on our January 4th cruise on the Grand.

Don'
t know if anyone else enjoys it, but I love sitting out on a deck chair
facing the open sea with a good book. Putting your feet up and watching

the
ocean go by eases the stresses of life. When you combine that with a good
book, you get a double escape.

Does anyone have a book to recommend? I would like to recommend the books
of Richard Halliburton. He wrote simple stories of his travels, like the
"Royal Road to Romance." Nothing fancy, just interesting adventures. He
may not be in current print, but should be available at used book stores

or
Amazon.com.

I just finished "Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver, which was
marvelous. I would also recommend "Middlesex" but only if you enjoy a very
strange story. If you like travel books, the Provance series is wonderful.
