Yes. Gold and up can pre-reserve those seats; they're open to anyone once
it's under airport control.


These seats include a one seat class upgrade if flying on an aircraft
that was built for one more seat class than is being sold on that
aircraft. For example, this would include a 3 class plane that only has
2 classes for sale. This would generally happen domestically on
widebody. I also believes this is true of the flights to places like
Shannon where only economy class is sold on a plane with 2 seating classes.
