Default First time cruiser needs guidance:)

We want to do a Caribbean cruise in late April for about

Should I just go to a local travel agent to arrange this
and learn the basics of a cruise vacation, or do
you vets recommend a particular Web site?
Many many thanks!

A travel agent for that kind of cruise which can be found
in just about any webpage on cruising, is about as useful
as boar hogs tits, as the saying goes.

On certain more obscure or more exotic cruises on little
known cruise lines, the travel agent you find may know
even less than you do about them.

In this group, you need to learn to ignore travel agents
who spam to sucker clients. Ray Goldenberg is the one
who knows nothing except how to fleece you for your
money. Don't listen to Ray's ass-kissing Goldie Twin
either -- that's Dick (aka Dickhead) Goldhaber, now
trying to conceal his identity by using the posting name
of Dick G, and some sockpuppet name when he calls
me "pond scum" for exposing the Goldie Twin circus act.
