Default Tom Brokaw: President Clinton Thought Saddam Hussein Had WMD

Hillary Clinton Murderess wrote:

Appearing as a guest on Wednesday's Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN,
former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw recounted some of the
rationale behind why the Bush administration believed that
Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction before the
invasion of Iraq, even noting that President Clinton had also
believed in the presence of WMD.

So Brokaw is now an appologist for the Bush administration?

When will CNN bring out Dan Rather as a guest host?

Brokaw related evidence that the Iraqi dictator had tried to
deceive Iran into believing he possessed WMD,

How many years did Iraq live under crippling UN sanctions and no fly
zones?

And STILL be able to fend off Iran by bluffing about their WMD's?

And you're going to fault them for doing that?

and noted that the people of Iraq lived in "sheer terror"

What would you rather do. Live under "sheer terror", or be killed as a
result of Bush's "liberation"?

and were afraid to talk to the NBC anchor when he visited the
country during Saddam Hussein's reign.

The average Iraqi's standard of living was far better before they were
"liberated" during Bush's illegal invasion and aftermath.

Saddam Hussein "had the iron fist over that entire country.

Arab countries need to be ruled by a strong man, a semi-benevolent
dictator. The only alternative is to be ruled by religious mullas and
islamic fundamentalists. You tell me which one is better - for us AND
for them. Just go and ask the christian minorities in those countries
(Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon) what they would prefer. Assuming you can
find them today.

Saddam Hussein really had the iron fist over that entire
country,

And the IRS (and their surveilance arm the NSA) has an iron fist over
americans.

The former NBC anchor went on to recount the reasons people
believed Iraq had WMD:

How about the fact that americans gave it to them?

How about myself (Don Rumsfeld) with a smile and a handshake gave Saddam
chemical weapons to use agains Iran?

A lot of people believed that he did have weapons of mass
destruction.

And UN resolution 1441 was put forward as a way for Iraq to show it did
not have them, and Iraq did satisfy those requirements (as much as
anyone can - seeing as resolution 1441 called on them to prove a
negative argument - which is practically speaking logically impossible).
