.........London Southend..........that is!!!!
Who makes this stuff up?
It's Southend Airport....for gawds sake!
[though ties in nicely with another thread about how cheap Ryanair
are.....well, if you were coming into London and land at Southend,
its gotta be cheap because the onward time and money will knock a
bit of a hole in Ryanair ticket price and convenience..]

Is it much harder to get to (from Euston, say) than Gatwick or Heathrow?

LHR is on the Tube (subway system) which makes it easy and cheap to get to.
None of the other London airports are. IMO, that is the key variable in an
airport - if it is connected to the city's subway system. Both of Chicago's
airports are, which is a big plus for Chicago. None of New York's are (in
each case, you have to jump through hoops to get there by public transit).

But the Bush apologists hope that you won't remember all that. And they
also have a theory, which I've been hearing more and more - namely,
that President Obama, though not yet in office or even elected, caused the
2008 slump. You see, people were worried in advance about his future
policies, and that's what caused the economy to tank. Seriously.
