Default visiting nz for 6 weeks

Hi,

I plan on visiting NZ for 6 weeks in january. I hold a british passport
and am resident in the UK. Does anyone know if I need any other kind of
visa to visit the country, or any proof of residence in the uk, or
anything?

e.g. what have you encountered at the airport when visiting NZ from the
UK?

[I'm travelling air newzealand with the 2 hour stop in los angeles]

Graeme.

I should add to this: I intend to take out money as I need it using
maestro/cirrus or VISA. How do I demonstrate having sufficient funds to
visit the country - a bank statement?

Graeme.

Graeme

You shouldn't find any problem being a UK citizen for a six week visit -
tourists are welcome.

See http://www.immigration.govt.nz/Visit/ for information.

Make sure you take no food/fruit in with you,as the sniffer dogs will get
you!!! Also make sure you declare any walking type boots/shoes cos if
you've been anywhere near anything agricultural the boys on immigration do
not like it,as I found out...Soles of boots can cary seeds etc,but apart
from that have a great time
