Penguins in Tassie?
We're thinking of returning to Tassie next summer and I was wondering
if there were areas where we could see some penguins in the wild. Specific information would be appreciated. Thanks! Jerry |

Penguins in Tassie?
Penguins are found in the wild from the S coast of NSW southwards. Access to
them is controlled, and normally only allowed/encouraged where it can be controlled - eg. Phillip Island in Victoria. From the DIPWE of Tasmania website: Little penguins can be seen at a number of locations around the State. If you intend to go penguin watching, please read the penguin viewing guidelines beforehand to ensure that you do not disturb these highly sensitive birds. http://www.dpiwe.tas.gov.au/inter.ns...ON-56VVYE?open "Jerry Rioux" wrote in message ... Bruny Island (at the very narrow neck of land between the north and south of the island) Bicheno (east coast) Low Head at the mouth of the Tamar River (north coast) Lillico's Beach at Penguin (north west coast) If you Google these locations + penguins I'm sure you will find more information about viewing times etc..
