All BAA Airports likely to be closed, including Heathrow. What total b'stards BAA workers and the scabby union Unite are. They don't give a toss for families or school kids trying to get away for a few days. Cutns. SB As expected, the strike has been called off. And the next BA strike will be ... ?? CJB Probably not for a while now. The cabin crew strike has failed, and I don't think there are any other sections of the BA workforce in dispute. But perhaps when the Iberia merger happens there will be another round of cost-cutting that could trigger more strikes. |

Doesn't the premium that the retailer pays on the space within the airport, which is then passed on to the consumer, defeat the concept of duty-free in some cases? |

Last year I paid £18 for two x one litre bottles of decent blended scotch at a BAA airport. At that rate I'm happy to pay their rent... I would too, to be fair. |
