Default In terms of passengers, how many cruise the Caribbean and Alaska?

I have wondered what the comparative popularity of these two markets
are.

If anybody has some info and references to back it up, I would love to
see them.

Thanks.

Maybe you can find some information about this on Cruise Critic?

According to the Cruise Lines International Association, the cruise industry
provided 30,786 bed days to the Caribbean and 6,968 to Alaska. Assuming the
same utilization rates the relative sizes between the two are 82% and 18%.
As an aside, slightly more than twice as many cruisers go to the
Mediterranean than Alaska.

Just remember that the Caribbean is a 12 months cruise year but Alaska's is
considerably shorter. That also accounts for many less cruse bed days.

BTW, what exactly is a bed day?

Thanks.
