Forgive me, under normal circumstances I would refrain from saying such a thing, but considering your husband may have incorrectly and rudely referred to me as a "non-smoking Nazi", I think I deserve some leeway: I didn't say that. Do you understand the meaning of the term "Folie a deux"? In fact, I do. What can I say? We made a good choice when we chose each other. Eileen |

RTCReferee wrote: Eileen Garland wrote: RTCReferee wrote: Do you actually consider someone wrinkling their nose at you, and even waving their hands about, to be on a par with blowing smoke in their vicinity? I do, though I realize you were asking Sunny, not me. I consider it very rude, and I have very little belief that second-hand smoke harms anyone. I think I am on record by now as agreeing it is rude and that I have never ever done it, but well, let's just for a moment, consider the possibility, however slight you may think it could be, that second-hand smoke DOES cause harm, do you think it is worse to say, physically harm someone or to make a rude comment? Ugh. First, I have to say I think we're boring everyone to death, especially because we're being polite and reasonable (not to mention off-topic). How about this: a rude comment is not on a par with (to coin a phrase) invading what is known to be one of the few areas where smoking is permitted, wrinkling your nose, and waving your hands. And then, I have to again stress that I don't believe second-hand smoke is harmful. With that as a basic disagreement, it's hard to have a discussion on this. (But I really would like to meet you, Ref. We could have some good long debates, if we could find a spot where I could smoke without bothering you!) Eileen |

You mean like people with allergies and asthma? It doens't harm them? Didn't we cover this point already? Your cologne might harm someone; your fixation on using a GPS could harm ME (do those things give off some kind of electromagnetic somethingorother?) Eileen |
