Short Sheremetyevo Transfer Time!

I need to get from Sheremetyevo 1 (flying in from St. Petersburg) to
Sheremetyevo 2 (Flying out to Los Angeles) in about 45 minutes or less
(there is more time built in for check-in, security,etc.)

What is the best way to ensure I make it on time?

Probably to book a transfer with one of the numerous companies that

I assume you meant that you have at least a couple of hours between
the two flights, and that 45 minutes is what remains when deducting
time for security, check-in, etc?
