$22/day?!
I guess my employer is a little behind the times.
For some reason a November 1967 issue of "National Geographic" turned up in the magazine rack at work. The articles were of some interest. The lead article was about south east Australia, and one of the photos was Canberra docking in Sydney. However, there was one ad that was rather hard to believe. It was a P&O ad for a world cruise for $22/day! It showed people picnicing on an open, but sheltered, deck. No idea what ship was the source of the photo. |

In 2005 dollars, that would be $125 or so, according to the inflation calculator: http://www.westegg.com/inflation Jeff |
