Hi,

I have recently received invoices from Princess that showed refunds
for various clients due to a change in the "government taxes and
fees".

Best regards,

Also, could be your share of a port fee.
We were unable to dock in Barbados a few years ago due to rough seas and a
broken bow thruster.
They took us back out to sea. No refunds for missing the port.
I went to the purser's office and asked them if I could at least have my
port fees back seeing how we never docked.
I think I got $35 in total for my wife and I.
Seemed cheap to me at the time.

Sheree, Charles, Lola, Jean and I were on the same sailing and didn't
miss any ports. So that doesn't explaine our refunds.

And we all used different credit cards so it had to be a credit from
Princess. No complaints here...nice to see credit, not a debit on the cc
statement for a change!

"Head Tax"?! Now they're taxing for doing that? Good Grief! Makes you
wonder. What kind of "head tax" refund are guys getting who sail on the
Atlantis all gay cruises? Or do they end up owing? ;-)

Thanks Kerry! This is even stranger because different people on the same
sailing got different amounts and we all used the same TA. Oh well, not
enough money to worry about(grin).

We just received a whopping $9 credit from Princess on the credit card we
used to book a
Princess Cruise and to pay for incidentals on that cruise. The
interesting thing was
we've only been on one Princess cruise in the past 5 years, a Baltic Sea
cruise in May
of 2006. And we've only had this credit card since July of 2005.

Does anyone know what this refund is for? Is this a refund of some port
charges
or taxes? Some class action lawsuit? (but one rarely gets cash for those)

I'm not positive what the refund is for. I've received 4 in the last year
and Jarrod has gotten 2. The same amount of cruises we've each taken on
Princess.

Some of the people that cruised with us never got the check. Maybe some kind
of class action settlement or something else random like that.

I've not researched it much since my last check arrived in Jan or Feb this
year. But they were certainly a huge surprise. I guess it was about 4 months
from the time the first one arrived til the last one. My first Princess
cruise was December 2004 and my most recent was April 2006.

LES!
