Air India or South African Airways?

Anyone here have first hand experience flying between Bombay
and Johannesburg (either way)? If so, what airline did you
use, and what did you think of the service. Are there other
major airlines besides Air India and South African Airways?
Any other reasons to prefer one of those two over the other?

Is your goal to travel non stop?
SA Airways would be the choice for that.

I don't think Air India flies to Jo'burg. The last information I have
is that except for special events, Air India doesn't fly to
Johannesburg. They had flights there for the 1993 Cricket World Cup,
based on a new article I found.
I saw Kenya Airways and Emirates with connections for 400-500 USD less
than the non stop on South African.
