We are planning a trip with our grandchild and daughter. The child is just
under two and there is no charge for her. When we get to the airport will we
have to prove her age?
Thanks.

Why not just call the airline. If you get wrong information here, it will
be too late when you're at the ticket counter arguing with the TA.

You should bring proof of age.
There was even an episode of "Airline" where a woman had this issue with
Southwest Airlines. I didn't see how it was resolved, but apparently the
airline called the hospital and they indicated they had no record of the
birth for the day the mother gave. If it is a child under 1, you might
get away with it, but if the child is older than bring a copy of a birth
certificate.
