Default I Hope This Isn't True.

Happy New Year, Dick and Danni.

Ben,

In 1948 the United Nations created the state of Israel. Debbie and I
visited there in 1977.

At no time in the last 53 years has Israel ever been at peace with her Arab
neighbors. Every time we think that there might be an accord some asshole
straps a bomb to their chest and goes off to kill Jews and usually succeeds.

I want to take my kid to see Israel, so here is what I suggest.

I will concede an area of Jerusalem to the Arabs, but there will never be a
Palestinian state that includes any part of Jerusalem. They can have what
we will them, and no Arab can ever enter Jerusalem without going through
what we go through when we try to fly these days.

Arab merchants can work the Arab Quarter, one of favorite spots in
Jerusalem.

Tourists cannot pay in US$ because US$ buy Arab guns.

Tel Aviv becomes a fortress where no Arab can enter without being searched.

Maybe then I will be able to show Danni Israel.

Tell that to Israel.

Jim, I do too. But you opened up a can of worms. An argument can be made
that the U.S. is violently imposing its ideals upon others who do not
think as it does (stating it is bringing "democracy" to the middle East,
for example). An argument can be made that this is what humankind has
done since time immemorial and is not unique to any society on this Earth.

Spokesmen for terrorism state that it's purpose to avenge the honor of
defeated countries, societies, customs, and religions and to get the
influence and presence of colonizers and crusaders out of their sacred
lands. That's their position.

I think most societies are guilty of brutality and the desire to conquer.

My position: we all have agendas and defend ourselves while not
considering everything that goes into the other side, or even to
validate that there may be something to the other side.

Default I Hope This Isn't True.

From 1979 until 1996 I worked in a video store located at Castor and Knorr,
and every day I was responsible for taking the deposits and going to the
bank, and I never ever felt threatened.

LOL.....Sounds like MOVIES UNLMITED! That used to be my video store when I
still rented. I'm sure we must know each other...however remotely. I began
renting from you guys shortly after you opened up through the mid 90's.
