anyone else curious, here is Tom K's original post on his one and
only experience with Carnival - a 4 night cruise on the Destiny nearly
six years ago

At the time, Tom was not NEAR as hardened and bitter about Carnival as
he is today. He certainly didn't equate his experience to a root
canal, and he himself said that he would sail Carnival again on a
newer ship if it was going where he wanted to go, with no better
choices available.

Shush.... you're gonna ruin my reputation...

Hi, We just returned from cruise on Destiny and had Great Food,Service
and Entertainmnent. But we will be going on Princess next as we need a
more relaxed cruise and also anytime dining is Great. We asked for 6:15
and got 5:45 so we were rushed for dining. And too much partying and
smoke for us as we are in our 60's. I need another vacation to rest up
from this one. Barbara and Jeff

Just because a product is liked by the masses doesn't necessarily mean
that it's a quality product.

It also doesn't imply that it's not. Take Toyota, for instance.

I wouldn't plan on any less smoking on Princess. Actually it turns
out there's a "middle ground" currently between 35 and 50 who smoke
less than those older or younger. This demographic keeps getting
older, I can only wish the younger group was getting bigger instead of
smaller.

The Carnival ship I was on was the smokiest ship I have cruised on.
Never had problems with second hand smoke on Princess.

We have never had a major smoke problem on Princess, but it was a huge
problem on the Carnival Conquest.
