There isn't a lot of inter European air. It's relatively compact, so train service is the budget method of transport. Get yourself a EuroRail pass. --Tom |

IMHO the best German "budget airline" is Air Berlin (www.airberlin.com). They actually manage to combine low fares, full complimentary service onboard (even on a 25-minute flight) and a very modern fleet. Other budget airlines e.g. include: Germanwings (www.germanwings.com) Hapag-Lloyd Express (www.hlx.com) Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) easyJet (www.easyjet.com) Regards, Raoul Fiebig E-Mail: firstnameATruderhaus.de "Das Ruderhaus": http://www.ruderhaus.de/ |

A couple major European discount airlines are Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) and
Easyjet (www.easyjet.com). Keep in mind that these airlines make Greyhound seem luxurious. For example, they charge for checked luggage (regardless of the number of bags), the seats may not recline (there may not even be seat pockets!), and the windows may not have shades. However, their airfares are extremely low, in some cases for $1.60 plus taxes and fees one-way.
