Norwegian Cruise Line Entertainers Stage Bermuda
Benefit Concert for Fabian Relief Fund

Miami, October 13 - A festive crowd of 4,000 enjoyed a benefit concert
by entertainers from Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)’s Norwegian Majesty
and Norwegian Sea in Bermuda last week. The event, which was held in
St. George’s Town Square on Tuesday, October 7, raised more than
$12,000 for the St. George’s Preparatory School, which was heavily
damaged last month by Hurricane Fabian.

Chad Brennan and Marcus Dagan, both from NCL’s entertainment staff,
worked with St. George’s-based business leaders and artists to
organize the concert.

Brennan, an art director and singer aboard Norwegian Majesty, and
Dagan, a singer and pianist aboard Norwegian Sea, organized the
concert after learning of Hurricane Fabian’s harsh toll on St.
George’s. “Entertainers on both ships love Bermuda, and we wanted to
give something back,” Dagan said.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, St. George’s residents and cruise
guests alike enjoyed singing, dancing, comedy and music delivered by
the talented performers from both ships that sail to Bermuda
seasonally.

The concert was free, but a donations box was strategically placed
near the entrance to Town Square. The St. George’s Preparatory School
P.T.A. sold baked goods and sodas, and NCL’s featured entertainers
took pictures with audience members in exchange for donations.

At the concert’s end, students from the school gathered to sing a
chorus of “We Are The World” and Henry Hayward, St. George’s Mayor,
handed out certificates of appreciation to all of the NCL participants
on the town’s behalf.
