Default New Year Festival of Miao

New Year Festival of Maio people falls on November 10th to 14th, 2006
in Leishan, during the New Year Festival, different sub-tribes of the
Miao people in southeast Guizhou would gather for the new year
celebrations. People would dress up in the finest outfits with silver
adornments, thousands of people dance and sing in circles, while in the
middle folk play the Lusheng pipes, gangs and drums. Meanwhile buffalo
fights, cockfighting are organized in the fields... The Festival is for
Miao people to enjoy themselves and main function is for young people
to meet each and find a marriage partner. Visit:
