European Economy Worse Than Poorest American State!
Maaxx schrieb:
Germany, with the most powerful and largest economy in Europe, currently has out-of-control unemployment. The current rate of 12.6% is the highest in 60 years. France's unemployment is also at 10%. Both rates are much higher than the unemployment in Mississippi, which is the poorest state in the United States. This news has caused the Euro's value to tumble against the US Dollar. So much for European superiority. don't compare apples with peares. What are the criterias to get in your statstics and how long are your unemployeds counted?? Heard about 50% unemployment rates in some parts of your country if you would use the German system. |

You mean like actually recording people who are long-term unemployed and no longer show up in the statistics? One reason the German figures shot up this month is that the whole social security system has been changed as of the beginning of this year. The statistics for unemployment now include many people who were previously listed as drawing social security benefits. T. |

When, exactly, was European superiority granted? 1491. Have the natives been informed? One doesn't need telling. -- Mike Reid Wasdale-Thames path-London-Photos "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Eat-walk-Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" -- dontuse@ all, it's a spamtrap |

of course the District of Columbia isn't a State.
Keith W wrote: wrote in message oups.com... I believe our worst state for unemployment is Michigan with 7.3%. The District of Columbia at 9% is higher, the overall rate was 5.5% IRC Of course they have a leftist Democrat for a governor - so what can you expect. Unemployment rates in Europe Ireland 4.5% UK 4.6% Denmark 5.4% Italy 8.5% France 9.6% Germany 9.8% Spain 10.8% so italy, france, germany, and spain all have higher unemployment rates than the highest U.S. State -- "But to live outside the law, you must be honest" Bob Dylan - Absolutely Sweet Marie - 1966 |
