I tend to agree with you. We've been living on borrowed energy. Now
the baby-eating bishop of Bath and Wells is knocking at the door.

How the fcuk did he find you? Did Magda tip him off?

He's Magda in disguise.

Passenger cars account for more than 10% of EU CO2 emissions
Carmakers that fail to meet carbon dioxide (CO2) emission limits by
2012 will face fines, the European Commission has proposed.

Will similar fines apply to private jets?

If the Romans hadn't spent too much time and money on waging wars and hadn't
handed over the reins of a fairly representative government to a line of
dictators, things might not have gone backwards.

The only resource you really need to manage is population, and oddly enough
that's the one resource that nobody seems to be worrying about now. As a
result, bad things will happen as the population increases without limit.

Nobody? Most of Asia has been worried about it for a while, as have
many parts of Europe and Africa.

You do say the oddest things.

China has worried about it a little bit, most other countries in Asia and
Africa have not. Many Third-World countries actually seem to think that
unchecked population growth is a good thing.

policy!

In some quarters, high population/growth is now being seen as a positive
rather than a negative factor.
