Default Poll Results: GGC2007

Got the final results tallied today (although it's technically tomorrow
... umm ... well .. you know what I mean

The voting consisted of the polls posted on the Yahoo Group (GGC_2007),
emails I received, posting directly on RTC, and even a phone call I
received totalling 7 outside votes. Not all voters cast preferences in
all categories. The totals are as follows:

7 o First half of January 2007
14 o Second Half of January 2007
10 o First Half of February 2007
8 o Second Half of February 2007
6 o First Half of March 2007
5 o Second Half of March 2007
***15 o April 2007***
0 o Later Still

2: -

GGC2007: What is your preferred Itinerary?

3 o Western Caribbean
4 o Eastern Caribbean
***23 o Southern Caribbean***
4 o Hawaii
20 o Mexico (Western)
0 o Mexico (Eastern)
9 o Panama Canal
0 o Bahamas
2 o Bermuda
7 o Other (repo, NoStops, etc)

3: -

GGC2007: What is your preferred Cruise Line?

1 o Norwegian
2 o Carnival
6 o Holland
9 o Royal Caribbean
***23 o Princess***
14 o Celebrity
0 o Disney
0 o Other (Crystal, Windstar, etc)

Winner: April Southern Caribbean on Princess.

Now. looking at the challenges that this selection represents it seems
logical to entertain some alternatives as well so the committee is
currently investigating and will propose a couple of options in
addition to this preference set for further consideration.

I'd love to hear what you have to say about some ideas which may mix up
1st and 2nd place preferences or some such cruise.

I expect to have some committee input in the next day.

^^^ A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated thusfar! ^^^

Since the votes were so close for the "time frame" and for the
"itins.", I think the committee could work with the first and the
"second" choices. As far as the cruise line goes, if nothing works
with the first choice, take a look at the second choice and see what
happens.

Sue, this is a good suggestion, IMHO. Since there were
variables of line, itinerary and time, a clear cut "winner"
in each category might really not reflect the abilities of
people who want to go on a GGC. With a second choice,
reflecting the runner up categories, a second round of
balloting might gain more GGC participants, since it would
be clear cut about what the cruise would be,
