Luggage Question
I know this question has been asked and answered many times but I hope
someone will answer again anyhow - I will write it down this time..... Where can I buy the luggage locks to put on my luggage that enable inspectors to open them without breaking or cutting them off and then re-lock? TIA |

You should be able to find them at any store that carries luggage.

I've bought from them a couple of times. Prompt delivery, and a unique payment method called Bill-Me-Later. No credit card; almost like the old charge accounts that we had at department stores years ago. Anyway, they have several types, from 4-for-$10 keyed locks to fancy combination-locked models. Don't have their URL handy just now, but Google is your friend. Another poster in this NG tipped me to them last year. Thanks so much - of course I found some at WalMart - should have known they would have them. Check the current issue of "Consumer Reports", they review budget luggage sets. Target, Wal-mart, Sears, e-bags, just about all budget luggage score poorly on durability. If you want something to last, go with major brands. I had a set of American Tourister that lasted 15 years. I replaced them with a set I got at Target. Those held up but didn't offer as much packing versatility. I now have a three piece set of American Tourister soft-side bags. They've been on trains, planes and cruise ships and are none the worse for the wear. -- ________ To email me, Edit "blog" from my email address. Brian M.
