Look into Quick shuttle- I believe they offer kids rates, but for 4 people a
cab may be your cheapest option.

Try SuperShuttle.

A Cab would be the least costliest for 4 people. Super Shuttle is per person
and a cab is for 4. We took a Cab last April to the Star Princess from LAX.

Walking would be the cheapest, but it's too far

Taxi, as long as everything could fit into the one cab. Everything else
except a rental car would be per person, a taxi costs the same for one to
four people (maybe an extra surcharge, not sure in LA, for the extra people
and the extra bags, but it would still be less expensive), and quicker.

Be aware that there are now two cruise terminals in the L.A. area. The original
is in the city of Los Angeles by Ports-O-Call. The new one is in Long Beach by
the Queen Mary. They are only a few miles apart, but be sure you tell the
driver which one you want.

San Pedro is a community within the city limits of Los Angeles. It has several
square miles of residences and industrial blocks and includes several miles
of docking space. Using the land mark of Ports-O-Call lets anyone know your
talking about a specific 3/4 mile stretch of the docks. Most cab driver's have
never been to the cruise center, but if you ask to be taken to Port- O-Call
area there will be no mistake. Once your in the area, you'll see your ship.

As far as sight seeing, there is very little to do in this area of Los Angeles.
If you come in a day early and stay down by the docks, expect heavy cab fares
if you want to see any of the major Southern California sights.
