Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Expects Little Disruption from Hurricane
Ivan, Modifies Mariner of the Seas Sailing

MIAMI, Sep 9, 2004
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. expects Hurricane Ivan to cause minimal
disruption to its ship operations. The company currently anticipates
its ships to arrive and depart as scheduled this weekend. Hurricane
Ivan will likely cause only minor modifications involving ports of
call.

Based on damage to Port Canaveral caused by Hurricane Frances, Royal
Caribbean International is modifying the departure port of Mariner of
the Seas. The ship will now sail its Sunday, September 12, seven-night
cruise from the Port of Miami. Port Canaveral, the ship's original
embarkation port, sustained damage to its harbor entrance and is
currently closed to cruise-ship traffic.

Mariner of the Seas will delay its departure from the Port of Miami
until 8 p.m. local time, Sunday. The ship will sail its normal
itinerary and will return to the Port of Miami on Sunday morning,
September 19. Due to Hurricane Ivan, ports of call are subject to
change.

Royal Caribbean International will transport guests from Port
Canaveral and the Orlando International Airport to the Port of Miami
for this sailing. The company also will return guests to those
locations at the conclusion of this sailing.

Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are updating their
websites three times daily, at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the
latest developments regarding sailings. Guests are encouraged to visit
the cruise lines' websites at http://www.royalcaribbean.com and
http://www.celebrity.com.

Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are operated by
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., a global cruise-vacation company with a
combined total of 29 ships in service and two under construction. The
company also offers unique cruise tour vacations in Alaska, Canada and
Europe. Additional information can be found by contacting your travel
professional.

In the news release, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Expects Little
Disruption from Hurricane Ivan, Modifies Mariner of the Seas Sailing,
issued earlier today by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. over PR Newswire,
we are advised by the company that the third paragraph, first
sentence, should read "Mariner of the Seas will depart from the Port
of Miami at 5 p.m. local time, Sunday," rather than "Mariner of the
Seas will delay its departure from the Port of Miami until 8 p.m.
local time, Sunday," as originally issued inadvertently.

The safety and comfort of our guests are always the foremost concern
of Royal Caribbean International.

Due to damage caused by Hurricane Frances, Royal Caribbean is
currently unable to bring its ships to Port Canaveral, Florida;
Freeport, Bahamas; and Coco Cay, Bahamas, Royal Caribbean's private
island.

Given Hurricane Ivan's location and projected path, we are currently
altering the itineraries of several Royal Caribbean International

Port Everglades for this sailing. The company also will return guests
to those locations at the conclusion of this sailing.

Mariner of the Seas, normally scheduled to depart Port Canaveral
Sunday, September 12, on a seven-night sailing, will now make that
sailing from the Port of Miami. The ship will depart from the Port of
Miami at 5 p.m., local time, Sunday. The ship will sail its normal
itinerary and return to the Port of Miami on Sunday morning, September
19. Royal Caribbean will transport guests from Port Canaveral and the
Orlando airport to the Port of Miami for this sailing. Guests are
requested to arrive at Port Canaveral or the Orlando airport no later
than 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. The company also will return guests to
those locations at the conclusion of this sailing. Due to Hurricane

Norwegian Cruise Line continues to closely monitor the path of
Hurricane Ivan in order to finalize the itinerary for Norwegian Dawn's
cruise commencing September 12, 2004.

The safety and security of our guests and crew is our number one
priority. Because of uncertainty regarding the storm's path, the
company is delaying announcing any revision to the itinerary until it
has all the relevant information.

As things stand, it may be necessary to amend Norwegian Dawn's
itinerary next week. The company's contingency itinerary plans are
ready and once it has a clearer picture of the storm's path it will
announce an itinerary to ensure a safe and enjoyable cruise.

As soon as the company has any further information it will post an
update on www.ncl.com under "Storm Update" and advise the team in the
call center, who can be reached by calling 1-800-327-7030.

The remainder of the fleet is not expected to be affected. Thank you
for your patience and understanding.

Royal Caribbean International is closely monitoring the path and

comfortable cruises and to make certain our ships steer clear of the

The safety and comfort of our guests are always the foremost concern
of Royal Caribbean International.

Due to damage caused by Hurricane Frances, Royal Caribbean is
currently unable to bring its ships to Port Canaveral, Florida;
Freeport, Bahamas; and Coco Cay, Bahamas, Royal Caribbean's private

In the case of Port Canaveral, a sand bar, 50 feet wide, was created
by Hurricane Frances in the channel leading to the port. This has
reduced the depth of the water in that area to approximately 30 feet.
Mariner of the Seas, which normally sails from Port Canaveral, is one
of the largest cruise ships in the world and requires a minimum water
depth of 35 feet to safely sail. As a result, Mariner of the Seas is
not currently able to sail from Port Canaveral.

Given Hurricane Ivan's location and projected path, we are currently
altering the itineraries of several Royal Caribbean International

return to Port Canaveral on Monday morning, September 13. Royal
Caribbean will transport guests from Port Canaveral and the Orlando
airport to Port Everglades for this sailing. The company also will
return guests to the Orlando airport and Port Everglades at the
conclusion of this sailing.

Sovereign of the Seas will resume its normal Monday and Friday
departures from Port Canaveral starting on Monday, September 13.

Mariner of the Seas, normally scheduled to depart Port Canaveral
Sunday, September 12, on a seven-night sailing, will now make that
