Default Gift to Americans moving to Australia.

A neighbor is moving from the US to Perth for a year. What would be a good
going away gift for him and his wife? They are a mature couple (late 40's),
and he'll be there for training.

Some kind of medical thing. He is already a professional (not a doctor) in
the field here in the US. Apparently he is going to some school for further
training.

Surely depends on his/her interests. If you meant what may not be available
in Perth that they might be accustomed to - I doubt there's really
anything except particularly American foodstuffs!!!

Good corkscrew?? Not many Americans drink wine and WA wines can be superb.

I know the answer to this one!

Two ice-cold VBs (green), so they can appreciate a real beer!

Why would I buy them Australian beers? Won't they get these when they go to
Perth? They should buy them as gifts to me!

I was thinking along the same lines (except plenty of seppos drink beer) - a
good wine guide to WA, and Australia in general? Also, an Orstrayan-English
dictionary.
