Grand Central Oyster Bar Workers Strike!
Don't eat at the Grand Central Oyster Bar! Over 70 cooks, waiters,
oystermen, bussers, and dishwashers went on strike December 5th. These are the folks that have made the Grand Central Oyster Bar the famed NYC institution it is today. Tourists and regular customers should be aware of unexpected closures - as happened on December 5th for an hour and all day December 6th - clumsy service and other mix-ups as a result of the strike. Workers - some who have worked at the Oyster Bar for nearly 30 years - are fighting to protect their health insurance and pension. For more information, go to: www.GrandCentralOysterBarStrike.Info |

Just look at the website. There have also been articles in the New York press. Michael If you would like to send a private email to me, please take out the TRASH, so to speak. Please do not email me something which you also posted. |
