My wife would like to have a spa treatment that she heard about on GP that
removes cellulite? Has anyone had this done? Thanks!

No, but a few weeks ago on the Grand, My Husband and I both went for the Stone
massages, and they were horrible. ($300 later)

Nothing removes cellulite but fat loss or liposuction.

The Spa has many what I call crap ways of getting your $$$. They have
a wrap of what looks like big ace bandages soaked in some mineral.
You lose a few inches too for $150 but drink a glass of water & it is
all right back!

On the Grand in 2001 they advertised an $75 30 min massage & facial.
The gal talked the whole treatment & very little massage as she had to
show me something to buy......... NEVER AGAIN! Oh and the facial, no
steam, no massage of face but what felt mike Milk of Magnesia painted
on my face to harden & wash off.

I have to agree. We were on the Grand in July and the 'Spa' was not
what I call a Spa. Many of the services they offered were based
around a 'treatment' that allowed them to spend far less staff time
per hour booked than in a real 1st rate Spa.

And, No, you can't remove cellulite without eating less energy than
you burn or going under the knife!

Save your money and book a day at a great Spa when you get back. IMO.

I usually get the Ionithermie treatments that "remove toxins" from your
skin and improve the appearance of cellulite while taking inches off
your measurements and dollars out of your pocket... but it actually
works, so I keep doing it. The result is slim, tight thighs and
uncomfortable flatulence.

They exfoliate with a brush, spray you with product, cover you with
algae and stick electrodes in the mud pack, then zap you to contract the
muscles and force the algae into your skin. The effects were better
when I had a sauna first, but they don't allow that anymore. They
recommend a series of 3 treatments

Candy -- will have at least two next month

Huh? I think I'd rather have the cellulite!

Karen and Linda...

Somehow the enzymes in the product they use work on your elimination
system to flush toxins (and everything else) out of your system. Our
traveling buddies wondered why I would walk away from a conversation for
no good reason and return with a guilty look on my face. Sometimes it's
really gross, so get your treatments early in the morning and spend a
lot of time out on deck ;-)

Toxins? How I hate that word. In the good old days (before the rates
became obscene), when I would go for one or more massages while
cruising, I would always forbid the masseuse or masseur from using the
word "toxins" in my presence.
