What is banned in carry-on for flights WITHIN Europe?
What is the situation currently for flights within Europe (but not including to/from the UK) ? Are carry-on liquids banned? Were they indeed prohibited as they were for flights between north-america and the UK ? |

There are no changes in the rules for hand baggage on flights originating in Ireland, other than to the US. Are carry-on liquids banned? Liquids, gels, and so on are generally banned on flights between Ireland and the US "On instruction from the Transportation Security Administration". -- PB The return address has been MUNGED My travel writing: http://www.iol.ie/~draoi/ |

So if you are flying from, say, Ireland to Amsterdam, there are no restrictions (like no liquids or gels) in your carry-on bags? Are carry-on liquids banned? We flew from Salzburg to Manchester this afternoon and checked in with hand luggage including, among other things, toothpaste, moisturiser, pork cutlets, a bottle of wine and a package of chicken hearts! -- David Horne- http://www.davidhorne.net usenet (at) davidhorne (dot) co (dot) uk http://homepage.mac.com/davidhornecomposer http://soundjunction.org |

As of last Friday, there were no restrictions out of Amsterdam except to the US. I took water on a flight to Luton. www.easyjet.com (follow the yellow link at the top of the flights page) has a useful summary for their network. Amazingly, some countries have different policies by airport. It seems to state that Poland is not allowing any hand luggage, which may be wrong as Wizzair's site doesn't say that (they're Polish) but the rest is probably correct. Neil |
