Default dinner in FLL

Saturday December 20th we'll be staying at the Sheraton Yankee
Clipper in Fort Lauderdale.

What are good food options within either a longish walk or
maybe a watertaxi ride?

Looking for something local or different (no chains, etc)

I liked the 15th Street Fisheries when we were there, though recently some
people here have said the quality wasn't as good as it was (we were there in
01). The other place that we really liked was H2O, loved their Sunday
brunch.

If you don't want to walk at all, the restaurant in the hotel is pretty

I'm specifically looking within a long-ish walking distance
to avoid eating at the hotel unless the restaurant there
is something unique.

What type of cuisine was it?

The lobsters were great. They were cooked just right. I had the Lobster
and Steamer combo, had to try the steamers, but did not care that much
for the steamers. If eat there again I would just order the two
lobsters dinner.

Good choice, but you might want to also try the scallops some time; they
are wonderful.

Asya, I think it's a short walk to the Bahia Mar (if I screwed up that
name, I hope someone will correct me), which is at the water taxi
landing, and has good inexpensive food that you can eat outdoors while
watching the boats go by. There are also lots of nice places all along
the road in front of your hotel, with reasonable prices and good food.
Every once in a while we have just stopped in one at random and have
never been disappointed.
