Default Hotels & Cruise Info

We just wanted to check out 2 things:

1) What are the prices for pop/soda, bottled water on Norwegian Cruise
lines?

2) Can someone give us an affordable hotel/motel, near the beach in
Fort Lauderdale (somewhere where you have access to a lot of
activities). Affordable is important because we're arriving @ 10pm.

Thanks in advance!

In April, a can of soda was $1.50. They have a soda card program (A sticker
on your ID card/cabin Key) that allows you unlimited sodas. It cost under
$30 for a 7 day cruise. You should be able to pre-purchase the soda program
via NCL's website. Unless they've changed that recently.

Sorry I can't help with the other question.

If one person in a cabin gets the soda sticker, can someone else in the
cabin use it at another time? Or do they have photos on the card that
would prevent that?

How much are "smoothies" (non-alcoholic) on NCL? Anyone know? I'm
trying to decide if the teen passport is a good deal.

Jarrod and I both decided to get our own. Just because the sticker is put
onto your cabin key and it would have been a pain switching all the time.
There is an electronic picture of you tied into the card, and if we got them
confused, there could have been problems getting on and off the ship. And
switching the sticker would have caused it to get.. unsticky and not be any
good I would imagine.

But in theory, it could be done. Again, unless they've changed anything
since April.

We didn't get any smoothies, but I believe that the smoothies are about the
same prices as alcoholic drinks (maybe slightly cheaper). That's around $5
each. If those are included in the passport, Id say it'd be a good way to
go.
