What are the best months to visit the Valley of the Roses?

How long does it take to reach the Valley by train from Sofia? Thanks

10 trains a day from Sofia to Kophrivshtitsa, taking 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
The best time to see the harvest is the last week of May and the first week
of June, at the end of which there is a festival.

When was the last time you took one of
THOSE trains to see the roses? I am so
glad they moved the valley closer to Sofia.

4/5h by train, there r also buses, not too bad either.

Summer is definately the best period. U wanna b there for the Rose
Festival which is in Kazanlak in....hmmm, hey I'm starting to forget
but either June or July. Check it on the internet. Don't have a link
but a search on either Valley of Roses, Kazalak, Festival of the Rose
etc would give sifficient material I presume.

According to the timetable by train from Sofia to Koprivshtitsa it takes
from 1:43 to 2:50 depending on the train type. From Sofiq to Kazanlak it
takes about 3 1/2 hours. The rose Festival is in the first week of June
every year. It is celebrated in other places as well, especially in
Karlovo which lies between Koprivshtitsa and Kazanlak.

OK, all this train info is very helpful, thanks. So it's easily doable
in 2 days.

I was curious whether the views are good for someone on foot, a hiker.
Can you walk in the countryside and see, for example, hillsides full
of roses?
