Default Prague & Berlin, end of year

Hi, I'm thinking to go to Prague & Berlin for two weeks at the end of
the year (sometime between Oct - Dec). Is it a good time to go?

I have a Canadian passport. Do I need a visa to visit Czech? If so,
how long does it take to get the visa? Any info will be appreciated.
Thank you!

Maybe this isn't for you, but I wanted to pass it on and remember it was
3 years ago,

We usually spend 3 weeks in Berlin every year, and wanted to spend 2 or
3 days in Prague, so while in Berlin reading the sunday travel section
of the Morgenpost, (i believe) I saw some ads for inexpensive travel to
prague from Berlin by bus.

3 days 2 nights at a fairly low end hotel in Prague with continental
breakfast, including bus transportation from Berlin round trip...and the
price was as closely as I recall around 150DM at the time, that was
about $100.00 US.

The tour bus ride was comfortable and the check in and hotel worked
well, a short walk to the street car which delivered us into the center
of town, breakfast was what you might expect, and all in all it was a
good deal price wise and for us the comfort level was fine.

I am sure prices are higher and I could check the Morgenpost on the
internet and find todays ads but thats if anyone cares enough to bother.
We kept our hotel room in Berlin as it wasn't worth check out and check
in and convenient to have our luggage and clothing left hanging there.
