Are people in Asia, especially Chinese people friendly towards the
blacks?

I haven't seen too many black tourists in Asia, but generally speaking
Asian people are friendly towards tourists. The only thing I noticed
once, in a hotel in KL some black African people enquired about rooms in
a hotel and were told the hotel was full, even if rooms were still
available. But otherwise I've never heard of racism against blacks in
Asia.

Chinese are possibly the most racist people in the world.

They think they are superior to everyone else and if they are in their
own country, they hassle all other races.

One thing they like to do to you is knock into you when they pass you
on the street.

Thinking again about it, actually there is racism everywhere against
black tourists - not just in a few coutries or in a specific
geographical region. Just to make an example, I remember a few years ago
an Italian hotel owner was fined for refusing to give a room to a black
tourist from the USA.

along the way I was told "no room available" even though the
electrict signage indicated "vacancy available".

In Chicago I saw a sign board at the entrance to a car park which
said - "Japanese cars not welcome".

Outside Salt Lake City at a one restaurant I was told
"no table" - then my sister-in-law (a caucasian) got out of the car
and she went in and got a table ! I didn't enjoy the lunch.

Two years back I made my 4th trip to Australia - right in the heart
of Sydney - bus station ticket counter staff not only refused to
provide service he even made racist remark thinking that I was a
Vietnamese refugee ! I shot back at him attracting the attention of
his lady supervisor who appologised and helped me with the ticket
booking.

I am not that black !

My question about color arises lies on the fact, that in Asia, people
with brighter complexion are considered more beautiful than those with
darker skins, opposit to current trend in Europe. Many Japanese women
white-powder their faces; Chinese women try to avoid the sun, using
umbrella in hot sunny summer days when going out. Indian women use
whitening cremes to bleich their skin. European woman are praised of
their noble appearances, largely due to their pale skins.

How would they handle black people, who in the asian culturs are so
"ugly"?

To be honest the year I spent in Malaysia in 1999 changed my view on
tanning. I don't spend that much time lying on a beach, frying under the
sun. I get some light tan, but not more than that. Too much sun destroys
your skin in the long run and can cause skin cancer.

On the other hand the locals in SE Asia have an almost obsessive
shopping complex culture, prefering to spend entire afternoons or
weekends in airconditioned malls, instead of doing something outdoors.
It's understandable that they want to avoid the tropical heat, but even
in hill resorts, when outside it is fresh, they prefer staying inside
malls the whole day...

How would they handle black people, who in the asian culturs are so
"ugly"?

They don't have to marry or date them.

Good for you. Skin of a North European man is not evolved to resist the
volume of solar beaming when the sun is at altitude of 70 degrees or more.
Ozis can tell more about this I guess. I saw a young western woman on the
Perhentian Islands whose skin in the back was mostly peeled off and rosy. It
looked yukky, she must have felt it yukky and yet she didn't wore a
shirt........

The America of today would not be the same America without the
achievements of its ethnic Asian. Scratch the surface of every
American celebrity of Asian heritage and you will find that, no matter
how stellar their achievements, no matter how great their contribution
to U.S. society, virtually all of them have had their identities
questioned at one point or another.
