Default Coral Princess / Digital Ship & Internet

We went on the Coral Princess, Panama Canal voyage and had a great time.
The ship's photography department was completely digital. I got a greap
picture of
the ship's photographers walking on top of the Panama Canal's Gates while
they we're taking
pictures of the passengers on the ship. I offered them to the photographers
for $20 for an 8X10!

One negative was thay they would not let you plug your laptop in to use the
internet. They said it was for
security reason. Carnival let us buy internet minutes for use with a
wireless card. I was diappointed in
how little their security officers new about coputers and the technologies
that are availabe to stop viruses and hackers.

We had a great cruise though!

On the Brilliance, before you could get Internet access in the cabin,
you had to scan your laptop with a CD from Symantec for two specific
viruses then report the readout. No one asked me about the report or
even if I had scanned or not.
