Default How to bring on alcohol

Is it better to put it in your carry on bag or in your luggage that you
check? Do you put it in nondescript containers (IE, water or soda bottles)?
I only want to bring one 750ML of rum and some pineapple juice, I'm not
looking to stock a bar. Thanks.

We're going on a 3-day on Carnival Paradise, by the way.

I have made two containers from 4"PVC pipe. Make a little longer than
750ML bottle so that newspaper can be stuffed in both ends. One end cap is
permanently attached and other just pushed on. This will be perfect fit for
750ML bottle. Never had a problem with them in checked baggage. Our travel
companions carry theirs on and also never had any questions? We only go on
HAL. Others may be different?

I went on the Carnival Miracle last March and took a bottle of liquor in my
carry on. I did transfer it to a wine bottle. (with a screw on lid, not a
cork) I wrapped bubble wrap around it. They scanned it, they know. I think
you will be fine. We have also done it on Celebrity, NCL and HAL. I would
hate to see the liquor broken in the check on. Hey, all they can do is take
it away from you, but I am sure it will be fine. Have a great cruise.

Remember...............You need to line the outside of the pipe with sheet
lead to shield the X-Rays from harming the contents and to hide the
contraband.

Great tip, Fred. Where would I find sheet lead, Home Depot? Will the
X-rays harm the taste of my contraband or is the lead shielding just to make
sure that the screeners don't find it and drink it themselves? Dork
