Question About Perth and It's Beaches
I have some of questions about Perth and it's beaches:
1. During the summer months is the ocean water warm enough to go swimming for long periods of time or is it kind of chilly? 2. Are sharks a concern like they are (or are'rt on the east cosat)? 3. What is the average rental price per week for a standard tourist apartment? 4. Is it acceptable to ride a bicycle (or walk around) shirtless anywhere in Perth? 5. Can I walk around at night without fear of crime? Any information concerning the beach scene or quality of life in Perth would be appreciated. |

wrote in message ups.com... I have some of questions about Perth and it's beaches: 1. But after a week of 40 degrees plus days, it can't be cool enough. 2. Are sharks a concern like they are (or are'rt on the east cosat)? No and no. I personally wouldn't feel to good about riding a surfboard in Perth out the back behind the breakers, there is probably an attack every 3 or 4 years from this. Just swimming, I can't remember it ever happening. (The last fatal shark attack off a Sydney beach was in 1960.) 3. What is the average rental price per week for a standard tourist apartment? 4. Is it acceptable to ride a bicycle (or walk around) shirtless anywhere in Perth? Australians are very casual, particularly in summer. There is nowhere in Australia where it is not acceptable to ride a bicycle shirtless in summer; as for walking around, I would feel uncomfortable in the city but almost nowhere else. Unless, of course, you are a woman. 5. Can I walk around at night without fear of crime? Pretty much, and by world standards, absolutely. |

Question About Perth and It's Beaches
"Thump" wrote in message ups.com... 4. Is it acceptable to ride a bicycle (or walk around) shirtless anywhere in Perth? Perfectly acceptable (depending on the shape you're in). Just remember that you are in a country where the sun is very strong and you can get sunburned in a very short time. The hole in the ozone layer is very large this year and that will only increase the change of sunburn. Gerrit |
