Default Barcelona Hotel Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend good 100-125 euro per night hotels in Barcelona,
mid-September, double occupancy? There are so many hotels that we don't
know where to begin looking. In order of importance I would say:
1. Safe area at night.
2. Clean, modern, private bath.
3. Close to public transportation.

High speed internet would be a plus. We are not at all interested in
breakfast, exercise rooms, swimming pools, saunas, in house restaurant or
bars, and so forth. In other words, just a clean, modern room in a well
located area. Thanks!

IMO a good choice is hotel covadonga (search for the chain "hcc hoteles
Barcelona" whith google)

frequently they use www.laterooms.com in order to have full occupancy, so
you can get better prices using that tool
