SNCF: Urgent Info
I've bought on-line a ticket to the TGV. The SNCF have sent the ticket to
me. Is it mandatory to do any short of validation at the ticket office at the station before i get into the train? Best regards |

There are machines at every station where you must punch the ticket before proceeding to the platform. They are yellow if I remember correctly. Lana |

Yes, you have to stamp it in an orange validation machine - sort of the same size as a parking metre - of which you will have to pass many as you go onto the platform J; |

Others have replied, but just in case, to stamp the ticket is to "compost"
it...as in je veut composter mon billet.... "Isab" wrote in message ... I've bought on-line a ticket to the TGV. The SNCF have sent the ticket to me. Is it mandatory to do any short of validation at the ticket office at the station before i get into the train? Best regards |

Urgent Info
Compost usage in english is the equivalent of "trash" or discarded.
When you compost (punch) your ticket you have used it. No refund after that.
