I don't recognize the name of that fruit. It was some kind of berry, I
think, like a strawberry but more tart.

Prolly "Preselbeer", iirc Cowberries, which are similar to cranberries.

In Germany, I like the schnitzel.

with noodles or is that only in Salzburg?

Not only in Salzburg, but made for the German tourists. Like a Germknödel
with vanilla sauce instead of melted butter.

Wiener schnitzel does. There are other sorts of schnitzel.

Such as the Pariser schnitzel, which is coated in batter instead of
breadcrumbs and served with spaghetti in tomato sauce.

Well, i never had it either and i'm not sure that i would like it! ;-)
But "Wiener Garnitur" is standard kitchen latin, see e.g.:

http://www.sronline.de/sronline/sr3/...nitzel100.html

Whenever they talk in german cooking shows about "echtes Wiener
Schnitzel" they mention the anchovy.

What do you get a battered flattened hunter? :-)

No, they take a thick slice of sausage, fry it, and put some kind of
tomato-sauce over it.

There's also Zigeunerschnitzel. Schnitzel is a cutlet, whatever meat is
used, and there's more than one way of cooking and presenting it.

Yuck! I'm sure it's served somewhere, but I haven't seen it in Austria.
