Default Stephan Laengerer RIP

Hello everyone, this is Stephan's brother Ollie. First off I want to
thank you all for your thoughts. There were few things in life which
my brother cherished. First it was our family and most importantly my
sons Daniel and Rhyan whom he adored greatly and I know they will miss
him such a great deal. Second thing my brother cherished was a good
cigar which he smoked often with his "smoking buddy" our dad, and I
know my dad will forever miss that. And the last thing he loved dearly
was exploring the world via cruises and yes I recall all the stories
he told about the GGC and naturally this forum to share cruising
stories.

I had the joys of going on 3 Caribbean cruises with my brother. And on
these cruises I was introduced to the finer things in life,
food, scotch and travel. It was also on one of these cruises that my
girlfriend at the time would become his sister in law. We became
engaged on the Bolero in 1997, ironically we found our bar tab in my
brothers duffle bag when we went to retrieve his belongings.

As it is right now we do not and possibly will not have any answers
surrounding my brothers death. He was never reported missing since he
was found less then 12 hours after leaving my parents house in
Burlington.

I will only take the good memories of my brother with me, I did not
ever see any problems that should have raised a flag. He was the best
son, brother, brother in law, uncle one could ever ask for. If you
needed something and asked he was there for you no matter what.
Unfortunately he did not ask for any help whether he needed it or not.
And that we will never know.

if there is but one favour I could ask any of you. That would be to
toast my brothers life on September 11 as he would have turned 43. And
the most fitting way I could see this being done is to either enjoy a
fine meal, smoke a nice cigar or take a shot of a nice single malt
scotch. I plan on going to the location to where my brother was found
and I will smoke a stoogie with my dad and share some laughs.

I will leave you with my brothers favourite saying after he posted on
forums.

"the World is a book, those who dont travel, read only one page"

Well he liked to read and travel, and with the amount of times he
traveled he wrote the book in my opinion.

Thank you all.

Ollie (Stephan from Burlington's brother)

It would be a cruel hoax and not at all funny if someone posted this and
it were not true.
