St Lucia and Cars
Terry Faust wrote: I am visting St. Lucia soon and will have a rental car. Friends have said it is not worth it and the roads are not the best. I do need to visit both ends of the island. Any comments on driving in St. Lucia? They drive on the opposite side of the road than I am accustomed to in the US. The roads in some of the populated areas are narrow. Sometimes only one car can get through, so you have to wait for oncoming traffic to pass. When you drive across St. Lucia, the roads are mountainous, they are winding and very narrow. There are no guard rails, you look down do see water crashing against the rocks beneath you. I enjoyed St Lucia, but not the driving. Next time I will get a cab. Enjoy your trip.
