Hi, all.

Just booked our fourth cruise (third with Princess): 12/12 E.
Caribbean, Sun Princess. Just booked airfare to FLL. Now for
accommodation. We stayed at the Best Western Marina last time, now
looking for somewhere else. (The place was okay, but . . .) Any
recommendations close to Port Everglades? In particular, how a

1. Comfort Suites Airport and Cruise Port, 1800 S. Federal Hwy.
2. AmeriSuites 17th Street
3. The Marriott immediately north of the Port
4. Extended Stay America, west of the Port on 17th Street.

TIA, Arthur (1/13/2003 Coral Princess, 6/2/2003 HAL Volendam, 3/27/2004
Diamond Princess and now . . . 12/12 Sun Princess)

We enjoyed the Sheraton Yankee Trader at the beach. There is a free
shuttle to the port, and it's a very quick drive. I just can't get
enough beach, even though beaches are available at cruise ports of call
in the Caribbean. Fort Lauderdale has really spruced up her beaches.
The Yankee Trader provides an elevated walkway from the hotel's pool to
the beach. Beach lounges and drinks are available, so it really makes a
nice pre or post cruise option. Fine dining Cafe Casablanca and sports
bar Quarterdeck are only a short walk away.
